When God told Horace Burgess to build a treehouse, he promised that Burgess would never run out of materials as of yet he still has not.  Using recycled wood his structure is over 100 feet tall, with the foundation being a 80 foot tall white oak tree. It is known as Ministers Treehouse, and people come from all over to visit.

Horace he estimates the treehouse to be between 8,000 to 10,000 square feet. with 10 floors.  Burgess, is a landscape architect and an ordained minister, has has put around $12,000 of his own money into it, part of which were for the 258,000 nails he has used. License plates, furniture, roofing material, and plexiglass skylights have been used in the construction.

Not sure how this craze started, but the concept seems as simple as it is stupid. Get a bunch of guys together with some flourescent light bulb tubes and beat the crap out of each other. Dumb as it may seem, apparently it is gaining quite the following and popularity in the country.  See pics below…
