Here is a famous feature of Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. Called Devils Pool, it  is a naturally formed pool near the edge of the falls, accessed via Livingstone Island in Zambia. When the river flow is at a safe level, usually during the months of September and December, people can swim as close as possible to the edge of the falls within the pool without continuing over the edge and falling into the gorge; this is possible due to a natural rock wall just below the water and at the very edge of the falls that stops their progress despite the current.

This is British GT4 Championship driver Hunter Abbotts amazing crash at over 100 mph. Only ten minutes into the seasons first race, he misnegotiated a turn.

His Ginetta G50 smashed through a crash barrier, went airborne, hit the ground, rolled about three times, landing on its roof and burst into flames. Amazingly, the he walked away unhurt and even helped to put out the flames.

Not sure how this craze started, but the concept seems as simple as it is stupid. Get a bunch of guys together with some flourescent light bulb tubes and beat the crap out of each other. In the mood for bats?

At over 1,000 yards long, covering 20 acres, and holding 66 million gallons of water is the worlds largest pool at the resort San Alfonso del Mar in Chile. It uses water pumped from the Pacific Ocean which is filtered then treated to supply the pool. The pool took over 5 years and a reported 1 billion to build.
